SpaceDust is a free disk space analyzer for macOS made by Laan Labs. The short version: SpaceDust does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.

Data Collection

SpaceDust collects no data. The app has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to opt out of.

Your Files

All disk scanning happens entirely on your Mac. Information about your files and folders — names, sizes, locations — is used only to display results inside the app and never leaves your device. SpaceDust is sandboxed and can only read the folders you explicitly grant it access to through the standard macOS permission dialogs.

Network Access

SpaceDust does not send your data over the network. It makes no connection to our servers or any third-party service to transmit information about you or your files.

This Website

Our website (spacedustapp.com) uses Google Analytics to understand general visitor traffic, such as page views. This applies only to the website, not the app. See Google's privacy policy for details on how Google processes this data.

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
